2:29. ಯೋವಾಬನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಯಾರೋ ಒಬ್ಬನು ರಾಜನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಬೆನಾಯನಿಗೆ, ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಬಿಡುವಂತೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

2:29. ಯೋವಾ ಬನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂಬ ಮಾತು ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊ ಮೋನನು ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾ ಯನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳು ಅಂದನು.

2:29. When King Solomon heard that Joab had run to the tent of the LORD and was right there beside the altar, he ordered Benaiah son of Jehoiada, "Go, strike him down."
